Our hydrophobic coating is essential in protecting your car from the elements. Using SiO2 (silica dioxide), it creates a microscopic chemically resistant barrier that prevents everything from reaching and damaging your clear coat. It also helps with water beading (forming small spheres) and sheeting (moving water off of the surface), granting better visibility during rain and easier cleaning the next time. The first layer is more chemically resistant and lasts longer, while the secondary layer has slightly better hydrophobic properties and gloss, but lasts for a shorter time, protecting the first layer in between details.

We use a chemical fallout remover to remove particles like iron and other metals from your surface to prevent them from being caught during the contact wash, creating scratches in your paint. This is essentially a chemical clay bar that doesn't cause any marring of the clear coat, and is essential in creating a 100% clean surface. This also creates a better surface for the hydrophobic coating, meaning it will have stronger bonds that last longer and work better!
